Hello,
We are initiating our first administrative QI project: improving our policy management. After examining root causes, we decided that our department needs a "policy/procedure on policies" to lay out a consistent process for policy development and management.
Does anyone have a policy management policy that they'd be willing to share?
Thanks in advance.
We are in the same situation
We are in the same situation as you are. We are very early in our transformation to a culture of QI. The first policy we did was a policy on policies. Here is a copy of what we came up with. Hope it helps.

We have a policy for policy
At Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department, we have a policy for policy and procedure access and update. If you email me I can send it to you. I'm not sure how to attach it here.

Hi Krauseak,
Hi Krauseak,
We have a Policy on Policies we can share with you. We consider it a working draft and we are having new policies follow its format until we can have the policy approved by our board.
Feel free to email me and I can send you a copy.

Best of luck as you move
Best of luck as you move forward with this project. I wanted to point out that there is a PHQIX Submission from Public Health Solutions District Health Department (Nebraska) related to this topic area. The submission described a number of "lessons learned" that migh be helpful as you execute a similar project. The Submission can be found here: https://www.phqix.org/content/increasing-staff-members-ability-develop-r...
